1. Meeting called to order at 7:20 by Vice President Tracy Taylor.
2. Community introductions took place and several new neighbors were in attendance.
3. Motion to defer the reading of the November minutes and the treasurer’s report were carried.
4. Vernetta Grant, (Prairie Avenue) and George Mac (Indiana Avenue) were the only area representatives present and they had nothing to report.
5. In Leonard’s absences, Tracy Taylor suggested that all should log onto the GAP blog for any updates on topics covered in the President’s report.
6. There was no formal Housing Committee Report. Peter McCauley did note that the committee met and he gave a brief recap of their discussions.
7. Tracy asked if anyone had signed a petition regarding blue light on 35th. Since no one had seen a petition Tracy will speak with Leonard regarding the goal of 500 signatures.
Tracy once again suggested that people refer to the GAP blog for updates on Property Tax Reassessment, City Council measure concerning Leona’s and information on Pilgrim reconstruction. Vernetta passed onto the group a memo from Deacon Vaughan that had time lines regarding the opening of lanes on Indiana and 33rd Street. This will be posted on the blog. Gwen King urged the GAP to be proactive and do something about rodent abatement should Leona’s start to remodel a building that had been vacant for years.
8. Volunteers are still needed to plan the Summer Sizzle and a proposed Dinner Dance and create budgets for these two events. Peter, Vernetta, Louisea Storey, and Chandler stepped forward and will have completed within 6 weeks, ideas on the Summer Sizzle.
